The name Purely Simply Music is inspired by the following phrase:
“a man who can make hard things easy is an educator"- Emerson.
The inspiration came about as one founding member was having a
piano class with a student. This is also vividly clear when you
watch a symphony orchestra or any band during a performance.
The musicians don't seem to be struggling when they play or sing,
but instead, everything just seems purely simple and effortless. In
music education, the best teachers are the ones who can make
difficult things very easy so that even a small child can understand
them.
The Purely Simply Music team also believes in making a difference
in our communities through our God-given musical talents.
Whenever possible, we keep the youth from previously
disadvantaged backgrounds away from the streets, their minds
and bodies occupied and at times rehabilitated and educated.
Someone once said “it is only in piano music where you will find
the black and white are in harmony". But that's not entirely true
as the power of music connects people irrespective of their race,
sex, colour or language.
With regards to the diverse African cultures in the 21st Century, our
company holds very dearly, the significance of cultural and
heritage conservation brought about through music education
and/or knowledge. In this regard, Purely Simply Music would like
to encourage the public in general to at least learn to play one
musical instrument and get an opportunity to play and perform
their favourite songs for friends, family or to a church
congregation.
Purely Simply Music has different lessonofferings to cater for
beginner, intermediate and advanced phases:
* For pupils who just want to learn how to play an
instrument without having to read sheet music.
* Purely Simply Music also caters for pupils who want to
learn how to read music as well as play an instrument
Both packages include music theory background as the student
progresses in learning the instrument.
About us
The company is also known as a Mobile Music School. We offer clients music lessons in the comfort of their own homes, offices, school premises, community halls, face-to-face and/or via Skype (Video calling). Clients have warmly welcomed the mobile service.
